MARCH 2019 MSG FROM JESUS: Ministry is not a joke, a sport or a popularity contest. #GRAVECONSEQUENCES#snatchsoulsoutofthefire
So throughout March I kept hearing this message from the LORD strongly in my spirit and not a day goes by in which I ask the LORD to deal with me daily!
As someone in ministry, I'm going to give you the hardcore truth about what's it like to be called or chosen to serve the LORD.
First of all the Christian walk is NOT a cakewalk, it's a battlefield! This walk with the LORD requires pain, sacrifice, self-denial and long suffering period.
This walk with the LORD requires the following:
1. for you to pick up your cross and follow Jesus
2. for you to say "yes" to the LORD in ALL things and to say "no" to the world
3. for you to crucify the flesh 24/7 and for you to walk in the spirit 24/7
4. for you to walk in radical obedience, holiness, purity (yes, sexual purity), humility and to have the Fear of the LORD.
5. it's a walk in which GOD will humble you to the core to let you know of the following:
a) that you are a mere mortal and JESUS is GOD
b) that you are the clay and JESUS is the POTTER
c) that you are the creation and JESUS is the CREATOR
d) that you are the student and JESUS is the TEACHER
e) that you are the servant and JESUS is the MASTER
When your life resembles like the lives of the prophets, apostles or GOD's chosen vessels such as David, Joseph, Hannah, Jeremiah, Abraham, Sarah or Deborah then you can say you are walking like Jesus. The bible says you will know them by their fruit.
Matthew 7:15-20
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Over the last 5 years of ministry, I've seen a lot of foolishness taking place inside and outside the church especially "ministries" in social media.
Unfortunately, I've also seen pride, arrogance, celebrity, self-aggrandizement and pomp and circumstance among so many so called men and women of GOD.
Wait a minute, is this about GOD or about you?
Why do so many crave likes and followers? Did you forget "Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved." (Mark 13:13)
Are you in ministry to praise GOD or to praise yourself?
Are you in ministry for your own selfish ambition and selfish agenda or to bring JESUS' agenda?
Are you in ministry to make JESUS famous or are you going to compete or overshadow him?
My friends, being called to ministry has and continues to be the most difficult assignment of my life! The Fear of the LORD consumes me from head to toe as I continue to work in our Father's business daily.
GOD is love, mercy and grace but he is also a righteous judge and a consuming fire and he is not a respecter of persons! Remember, GOD will hold us accountable for everything we say and do and those in ministry are going to be dealt with, in greater measure.
As the LORD's servant, I never want to have blood in my hands! Please read Ezekiel 3 and 33 to know what GOD says about that.
In closing, if your heart is not aligned with the LORD please repent, sin no more and get in right standing with JESUS before it's too late.
Hebrews 10:31
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Philippians 2:3-4
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
Luke 16:10
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.
Galatians 1:10
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
